zine area of south Lebanon. Levy said that attacks on
the Israel Defense Force in
Lebanon are likely to in-
crease. He observed that
fighting between rival
Lebanese factions has
slowed down and with the
departure of Palestine Lib-
eration Organization chief
Yasir Arafat from Lebanon,
the terrorists can now con-
centrate their attacks on Is-
raeli soldiers.
Levy said that Central
THE UNCOMMON BATH SHOP)
Headquarters is presently
reassessing the disposition
of the Israel Defense Force
in Lebanon and will submit
its recommendations to the
government shortly.
Levy said one subject
under discussion is the
Awali River bridges and
how the IDF should deal

lines.
An explosive charge de-
NORTHWESTERN AT INKSTER
tonated on a roadside near
Amik village in the eastern
sector without casualties to
a nearby IDF patrol. Beirut
Radio reported six explo-
sions in Sidon Tuesday
night which destroyed three
civilian cars but apparently,
hurt nobody.
Military sources reported
four attacks on IDF patrols
near Syrian lines in eastern
Lebanon during the past
two weeks. Three Israeli
soldiers were wounded in
one of the attacks. The
sources suggested that they
may have been launched by
terrorists infiltrating from
behind Syrian lines.
The attacks' in Sidon are
believed to be the work of
prisoners recently released
from the Ansar detention
camp. About 800 of whom
remained in the Sidon area.
According to IDF sources,
most of the attacks on civi-
lians were the result of per-
sonal quarrels, many of the
Ansar detainees returning
home to find their property
occupied by others.
