Double Simha: Bar Mitzva
Twins Ceremony in Israel

Daniel Bree of West
Bloomfield celebrated his
Bar Mitzva last Shabat at
Cong. Mevakshei Derech in
Jerusalem, and shared his
special day with a Soviet
Jewish peer in absentia.
The son of Dr. and Mrs.
Robert Bree, members of
Adat Shalom Synagogue,
Daniel "twinned" his Bar
Mitzva with that of Evgeny
Kremen of Moscow, the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Mikhail
(Galina) Kremen.
Kremen first applied for
permission to emigrate
from the Soviet Union in
1974 and has been unable to
join his mother and sister
who were allowed to emi-

.

grate in 1972. Since apply-
ing for an exit visa, Kremen
has been unable to work as
an engineer since 1974.
