Acting Supreme Court Judge Lewis Douglas - or- dered that pre-trial motions be filed by Jan. 12, which will be the date of the next appearance -by the defen- dants. The three defen- dants — Eric Jacobs, 25, Moishe Rubashkin, 25, and Israel Shimtov, 43 — were released on their own rec- ognizance. The three Hasidim were indicted on 15 counts of sec- ond degree assault, seven counts of third degree as- sault and one count of riot- ing. The three also were ac- cused of obstructing gov- ernmental administration, a misdemeanor.
