Hence there was considerable sympathy with Leah Leshem when she appeared on television not long ago and pleaded for support in her efforts to have her boy friend, Udi Adiv, released from prison for a short "vacation" so they could be married. Nothing was said about the fact that his previous prison marriage, in 1972, had ended in divorce. Application has also been made to have his sentence reduced by a third for good behavior. Adiv was sen- tenced 11 years ago to a 17- year term, and a one-third reduction would make him eligible for release just about now.
