An uninterrupted half
century of congregational
and community interests
and activities is emphasized
in the greetings being ac-
corded to Dr. Max Winslow
on his 80th birthday for
which messages have been
prepared by his associates
for Dec. 23.
Special emphasis is given
his many roles in Temple
Beth El, where he served as
men's club president and
member of the board and
the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion and its agencies, to
which he rendered many
years of service.
Professionally, Dr.
Winslow holds the posts of
clinical professor emeritus
at the University of Michi-
gan School of Dentistry, de-
partment of periodontics;
attending emeritus and
former chief, periodontics
section, Sinai Hospital;
former chairman of the
board of governors of the
U-M dental school Alumni
Society; and received the
Michigan Dental Associa-
tion's Meritorious Award in
1979.
Dr. Winslow was
graduated from the Uni-
versity of Michigan Den-
tal School in 1924 and is a
member of local, state
and national profes-

eration; was president of the
Resettlement Service from
1975 to 1979; was a member
of the Temple Beth El board
and a member of the Na-
tional Committee for Soviet
Jewry, among others.
He received Federation's
Community Service Award.
