national symposium on
street youth Wednesday in
New York.
The MANOF program of-
fers a 10-month residential
educational course for prob-
lem youths. The program,
which is voluntary, com-
bines structured vocational
and academic classes along
with informal educational
and social activities and
personal counseling. Estab-
lished in 1975, the program
is a cooperative effort in-
volving the Rothschild
Foundation, the Ministry of
Education and Culture, the
Ministry of Labor and So-
cial Affairs and Youth
Aliya.

Bartkiewicz, a classical

studies toward a doctoral
degree in the performing
arts at the University of
Michigan. He has played
locally at the Young Artists'
Concert at Cranbrook
House and the Grosse
Pointe Summer Music Fes-
tival. He performs as a sol-
oist with the University of
Michigan orchestra.
