Kashrut OK

The Pillsbury Co. has re-
cently added flour and
ready-to-spread frostings to
its list of certified kosher
products.
Pillsbury's Best® Flour
has always met kosher
standards, but now it is cer-
tified to carry the OU sym-
bol, the registered
trademark of the Kashruth
Commission of the Union of
Orthodox Jewish Con-
gregations of America. The
OU symbol will first appear
on two, five and 10-pound
bags of all purpose flour,
two-pound bags of self-
rising flour and five-pound
bags of unbleached flour.
Eventually, all of
Pillsbury's Best® Flours,
including bread, whole
wheat and rye, will carry
the OU symbol.
New Improved Pillsbury
Frosting Supreme®
Ready-to-Spread Frosting is
also certified as kosher and
the OU symbol will appear
on the front of the can's
label.
