Dangers of Cults' Topic
of Hebrew Schools' Program

The high school depart-
ment of the United Hebrew
Schools will have a special
program for parents and
students 10 a.m. Nov. 27 at
the UHS building in lieu of
regula-i classes.
The program will deal
with "The Problem of Reli-
gious Cults and the Danger
of These Cults to Jewish

Teens and Their Families."
Ed Schnee will be the guest
speaker. Schnee has had ex-
tensive experience with cult
groups in the United States
and was involved in the de-
programming of his son.

Breakfast will be served.

Names Rabbi State Director

Rabbi Shmuel State has
been named director of the
Michigan Chapter of
PTACH (Parents for Torah
for All Children).
A native of Toronto, Ont.,
Rabbi State holds an MS
degree in education and
interned at the Frostig Cen-
ter for Educational Therapy
in Los Angeles, where he
organized, directed and de-
veloped the PTACH Chap-
ter of Greater Los Angeles
and its pilot program at
Yeshiva Rav Isacsohn.
He was certified by the
Structure of Intellect Insti-
tute in El Segundo, Calif., to
administer and interpret
the Structure of Intellect-

Region of Jewish Marriage
Encounter Inc., it was an-
nounced by the Interna-
tional Congress of Jewish
