SANDY LINDEN of
Linden Medical, on Green-
field between Eight and
Nine Mile, and his em-
ployees were on the front
cover of October's Homecare
Magazine . . . Story inside
tells of Linden Medical
being one of the largest and
most aggressive indepen-
dent homecare businesses
in Michigan.
It now has two locations,
having opened a new store
in Grand Rapids . . . and can
account for over 2,000
active customers . .-. which
is a mighty hefty number.
Sandy is a hard-working
young man, son of Hannah
and Jack Linden . . . who
passed the bar, is an experi-
enced CPA, and as the arti-
cle says, "a conscientious
industry lobbyist."
When Sandy started
the company in October
1977, it was out of the
garage of his newly-built
house . . . delivering
equipment himself for
several months ... and
renting space in a
friend's Oak Park office,
where he finally hired an
assistant to handle the
bookkeeping.
Hall of Fame being started
here are Hank Greenberg,
Benny Friedman and Harry
Newman . . . Send your
picks to: Michigan Jewish
Hall of Fame, Jewish Com-
munity Center, 6600 West
Maple Road, West Bloom-
field, Mich. 48033.

vin Kaufman . . . on his 50th
birthday.

bined Northern and Cen-
tral High Reunion, 1934

Northern . . . and. Molly
Beck, 352-3135, Central .. .
For both, also buzz General
Chairman Iz Malin, 864-

MOST WELCOMED
call comes from Mike Mil-
ler, former WXYZ morning
talk show host . . . He's
enjoying ability to sleep in
these days . . . with a 6 to 10
p.m. talk show on 50,000
watt WHDH radio in Boston
. . . Mike and Peggy are liv-
ing in suburb of Waltham,
Mass., through this month
. . . then moving to suburb of
Wayland, Mass.
JAY ROBERTS (Lef-
kowitz) has been recognized
by legislators for his over 25
years as Nightflight captain
on WJR Radio . . . Formal
resolution by Michigan Se-
nate recently paid tribute to
Jay and his all-night good
music show . . . "This es-
teemed professional has be-
come synonymous with
quality radio programm-
ing" said the lawmakers,
while also recognizing Jay's
various charitable activi-
ties.
A year later, Sandy and
five employees moved to a
downtown Detroit office
with 3,000 square feet . . . In
May 1981, increasing in-
ventory and customers ga-
lore forced a big move . . . to
- the present 12,000 square
foot building on Greenfield.
Linden Medical has every
type of equipment imagina-
ble for the handicapped and
rehabilitation . . . But no
matter how big Linden
Medical has gotten, Sandy
still hasn't forgotten how to
be helpful . . . Anybody can
walk off the street and have
their blood pressure taken
