Israel Diamond
Exports Increase
RAMAT GAN, Israel —
The recovery of the Israeli
diamond industry was
marked by dynamic growth
in exports during October
1983, reaching $114 million
or 37 percent more than the
same month last year. This
is said to be the highest
monthly diamond export
total in almost two years.
Net shipments of cut
diamonds from Israel for the
first 10 months of 1983 were
$849 million, exactly $100
million, and 13.4 percent,
more than the same period
of 1982, according to figures
released by the. Israel
Diamond Institute.
