First Dance Program Ever
at Music Study Club Meeting

Salmons Celebrate 50th

Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Har-
riet) Salmon of Southfield
will observe their 50th wed-
ding anniversary Saturday.
They were married in 1933
in Chicago.
The couple was honored
by family and friends at a
golden anniversary party

Arab Rate Drops

JERUSALEM (ZINS) —
Binyamin Gur-Aryeh, Is-
raeli adviser on Arab af-
fairs, says the Arab birth-
rate in Israel has dropped as
the standard of living im-
proves.
From a high of 4.9 in
1964, compared to 1.7 for
Jews, the Arab birth rate
has dropped to 2.9 in 1982.
Gur-Aryeh said that today
96 percent of Israeli Arab
children attend school.
