Bnai Moshe Sisterhood Plans
Annual Torah Fund Luncheon

Bnai Moshe Sisterhood
will hold its annual Torah
Fund luncheon 11:45 a.m.
Wednesday in the syna-
gogue social hall. Proceeds
will go to the Torah Fund
Residence Halls Campaign,
Women's League for Con-
servative Judaism's fund-
raising 'activity to benefit
the Jewish Theological
Seminary of America. Ad-
mission is gained with a
pledge to Torah Fund.

Helen S. Weiss, past
president of Bnai Moshe
Sisterhood and past trea-
surer of Michigan Branch of
Women's League for Con-
servative Judaism, will be
honored "for her many
years of devoted service in
many capacities." She is on
the board of Michigan
Branch as ways and means
chairman. She will be pre-
sented with a scroll from the
sisterhood and with the
Woman of Achievement
award from Women's
League by Ruth Marcus,
Torah Fund vice president
and chairman of the day.
The guest speaker will be
Dvorah Rosenberg, na-
tional adult education
chairman of Women's
League.

This year's theme is "The
Year of the Book," reflected
in the design of the bene-
factor's pin, in recognition
of the completion of the new
library at the JTS. This
building, which opened to
scholars and students in
July, will be formally dedi-
cated during Hanuka. It
houses, for the first time
under one roof, all the semi-
nary's collections of rare
books, artifacts and re-
search materials.
