Detroit Medic Killed in Sinai

TEL AVIV - A U.S.
Army medic from Detroit
assigned to the multi-
national peacekeeping force
in the Sinai was one of three
soldiers killed in a car acci-
dent while on duty last
weekend.
The dead were identified

as Detroit native Leon D.
Benning, 20; Andre Liggett,
24, of Los Angeles; and
Brian K. Merritt, 23, of
Spring Lake, N.C.

Lack of imagination
causes cruelty.
