Federation Young Adults Hold Orientation Meeting On Campus Steve Raimi, a Michigan State University senior from Oak Park, has won the 1983 Excellence in Liberty Prize. Raimi received a $500 award from the In- stitute of Humane Studies, a Libertarian foundation in California, for the best term paper submitted by an undergraduate student nationwide. Rita Hauser to Address Detroit AJCommittee Event The Detroit Chapter, American Jewish Commit- tee, will present Rita Hauser as its guest speaker at a foreign affairs forum 8 p.m. Nov. 8 at the main United Hebrew Schools. "Washington and Jerusalem: Perceptions of U.S./Israel Relations" will be the topic. A national AJCommittee vice president, Ms. Hauser has served as an adviser to the Reagan Administration on foreign affairs and was a member of the President's "kitchen cabinet." A former U.S. representative to the UN and co-chairmen of 1976 Presidential debates, she is widely recognized as an expert on Middle East af- fairs. Ms. Hauser is -a member of the New York and American Bar Asso- ciations and has served on many committees of each organization includ- ing trustee of Harvard Law School Association of New York City, Inc., and • as director of Candy Sought for Needy Kids .
