Ruth Fagen, a talmudist from the Jewish Theological Semi- nary will speak on "The Family Through the Eyes of the Bible and the Rabbis." Ms. Fagen is a doctoral candidate in the Talmud department at the JTS. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political sci- ence from the University of Chicago and a Master of Arts degree in Talmud and Rabbinics from the JTS in Jerusalem. The 200,000 women who comprise Women's League support the seminary through an annual Torah Fund-Residence Halls Campaign. This Torah Study Day is part of the Outreach Program of the seminary to those women who contribute almost one- third of the monies to the seminary budget and main- tain the two residence halls that provide a campus environment.
