SZ Hospital Enrolls Increased Local Support

With 400 in attendance at
their annual dinner at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek Tues-
day evening, Detroit
Friends of Shaare Zedek
Hospital in Jerusalem reg-
istered an increased local
community involvement in
the hospital's health serv-
ices. Termed as mounting
generosity for the cause,
strong support was given at
the annual dinner for the
Jerusalem Pediatric
Dialysis Unit of the hospi-
tal.

Dr. Lloyd Paul, as chair-
man of the year's project,
provided a review of the
hospital's progressive func-
tions and recognized the
roles played by Detroiters in

the Shaare Zedek Hospital
projects.
Mrs. Samuel Hamburger
and Ms. Eli Rosenbaum
were the evening's honorees
and their efforts for the
cause were recognized in
presentations by Rabbi
Irwin Groner.
Of interest to the audi-
ence was the singing of
the national anthems and
reciting of the Birkat
Hamazon by Cantor
Hyman Adler in view of
his impending retirement
as cantor of Cong. Bnai
David.

additional problems in
the tackling of U.S.
foreign policies.
He declared, touching
upon the Syrian involve-

peace is not lucrative, but
tension is lucrative." He

In a thorough analysis of
the Middle East situation,
Kalb viewed the appoint-
ment of Robert McFarlane

visor as politically moti-
vated because of the appoin-
tee's basic experiences in
foreign affairs.
Kalb described his many
visits in Israel with U.S.
secretaries of state and he
judged the leadership of
Yitzhak Shamir in the new
Israel government as "Be-
ginism without Begin."

Long hidden papers by
Adolf Hitler, containing his
aims for world conflict, were
published by Grove Press in
1961. The recent, faked Hi-
tler "diaries" revive interest
in the earlier book, the au-
thenticity of which has been
confirmed.
An introduction to the re-
printed paperback of "Hi-
tler's Secret Book" (Grove)
appears with an introduc-
tion by Telford Taylor, the
historian of the Hitler era.
The reprinted "Hitler's
Secret Book" has been au-
thenticated. It was confis-
cated by an American of-
ficer who found it in a safe of
the Nazi Party central pub-
lishing house in Germany.
It had been kept hidden
under Hitler's strict orders.
The manuscript re-
mained unidentified for
13 years among many
thousands of captured
war documents in the
