Windsor Chorale • to Present
'Rozhinkes Mit Mandlen.'

The Windsor Jewish
Community Centre Chorale
presents its annual concert
7:30 p.in. Sunday at the
centre, 1641 Ouellette Ave.
Parking will be available at
the rear of the building.
The chorale will perform
the Yiddish cantata
"Rozhinkes Mit Mandlen"
(Raisins and Almonds)
'under the direction of Har-
vey Schreibman and ac-
companied by Walter
Townsend. The, guest sol-
oists are Cantor Sidney Re-
snik of Cong. Beth El and
Judith Chertkow Levy, a
soprano member of the
Vancouver Opera Associa-
tion.

Jewish Groups'
Tax Exemption
Is Questioned

WASHINGTON — The
mayors-of four West Bank
towns have filed a lawsuit
in federal court here asking
that the tax exempt status
for six Jewish organizations
be revoked on the ground
that the Jewish groups were
channeling contributions to .
Israeli organizations in
order to confiscate land
from Palestinians.
The six Jewish organiza-
tions named in the suit are
the United Jewish Appeal,
the United Israel Appeal,
the World Zionist Organiza-
tion American Section, The
Jewish Agency American
Section, the Jewish Na-
tional Fund and Americans
for a Safe Israel. U.S.
Treasury Secretary Donald
Regan was also listed as a
defendant.
