Hoag Levins, author of
the 'Arab Reach: The Secret
War Against Israel' will be
the morning speaker at
Hadassah's, day at Book
Fair on November 15.
Among Mr. Levin's many
awards, he has been the
winner three times of the
Philadelphia Press Associa-
tion Grand Award for Best
Reporting. He has also tes-
tified before the Senate Fi-
nance Committee on the
subject of Arab investments
in the United States. His
book gives a detailed ac-
count of how billions of Arab

October 25: Opening Chapter Board Meeting at 9:30
a.m., at United Hebrew Schools. Shirley Blumberg, a
former National Board member will be the guest speaker.
October 27: Shmuel Katz, leading Israeli political
commentator and author will speak about The Danger of
U.S. Mideast Policy — to American and Israel.' Co-
sponsored by Hadassah, at Congregation Beth Achim, 8
p.m.
November 3: Performance of 'Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat' at the Power Center in Ann Arbor.
Pre-paid reservations for the performance and round trip
bus transportation necessary.
November 10: Congressman Mark D. Siljander will
give the final lecture in the fall series on 'Christian Support
for Israel in Congress and the Community.'
November 15: Hadassah Day at Book Fair, details in
separate article.
December 2: Detroit Sympathy Coffee Concert Bus
Tour.

Wind' will be the afternoon
speaker at 1 p.m. 'East
Wind' is a romantic saga set
in Hong Kong between the
two world wars. Ms. Ellis is
also the author of 'Glorious
Morning' and other books.

Dr. Hanock Bar-On, head,
Diabetic Unit, Hadassah-
Hebrew University Medical
Center, was awarded 1983
prize at Second Milano In-
ternational Meeting on
Diabetes, Nutrition and
Atherosclerosis for the best
scientific contribution.

Edith Stone, Organiza-
tion Vice ,President, an-
nounced plans to form a new
Hadassah group in the Troy
Rochester area. The first
meeting will be Tuesday
evening, December 6. Any-
one interested in receiving
an invitation, or more in-

MEMBERS SPEND DAY IN ANN ARBOR

A group of Aviv and
Shalom Junior Life Mem-
ders, along with their
mothers, recently spent a
day in Ann Arbor visiting
museums and had lunch at
a campus restaurant.
The Junior Life Members
ranged in age from 18
months to 10 years. In-
cluded were Jill and
Jonathan Bruss, Douglas
Burda, Jordan Field, Mara
and Jay Hack, Laura Ham-
burger and Traci Provizer.
The children thoroughly en-
joyed seeing the dinosaur
bones at the Natural Sci-
ence Museum and their ex-
periences at newly opened

Hands-On Museum.
All Hadassah members
are invited to give their
children and grandchildren
the gift of Junior Life Mem-
bership. This $175 con-
tribution makes a memora-
ble new baby, birthday,
holiday, Bar/Mat Mitzvah
