Event was the gala prod- uction by Women of Tam O'Shanter Country Club .. . following their recent luncheon . . . Entertain- ment turned out to be far more than just a bevy of models displaying weara- bles. The music was continu- ous . . . show was fast-paced and many attendees com- mented it was one of the finest presentations they've seen. This was "Fall Fashion Extravaganza of 1983" .. produced by Leah M . arks. The 15 models, their hair done by Joseph Miri, back in town with Le Salon Dior in Bloomfield Plaza, Tele- graph and Maple, pranced along the runway in a sci- ntillating display _ of precision-like movement that brought oohs and ahs from the overflowing crowd of almost 400 women. Smart-looking leotard combos, from Leotards, Inc., Bloomfield Plaza . . . plus machine washable dress and coat sets, washable fab- rics to wear over leotards . . . a wondrous display from Esther & Estelle's in Orchard Mall, Orchard Lake Rd. and Maple .. . with glamorous leathers, polyurethanes, fabrics, leather suits and coats with ultra designing for long and short . . . and breathtaking dresses . . . elegant furs by Bricker-Tunis, among the forerunners in this area of the disco production type fashion show . . . scalloped furs with interior sweaters, python and eel jackets, eelskin with three shades of blue . . . among one of the most beautiful furs shown. Among the hits was a white Afghan dog named Shalom . . . owned by Elizabeth Mogill, daugh- ter of George and Irma Mogill ... Shalom held head up high walking across the runway with Liz's roommate model. The fashion show pro- duced by Leah Marks was her best by far . . . breathtaking in its selective choice of garments . . . worn by beautiful, highly- trained models who sat on blocks, walked the run- way and smilingly dis- played the fashions in dynamic coordination with recorded music like "Put- ting On the Ritz." It was a fun afternoon . . filled with conviviality .. . ex as vic let girlie, and just about every type of hairdo, hat and dress or suit styling imaginable by the lassies attending. Bud Sherbow, popular assistant manager at Tam, is proud of his members .. . many he's known for so many years . . . and they appreciate his being there. Mary Sarko, bewitch- ingly elegant in blacks and grays, looking like one of the models ... Barbara Feinberg, al- ways so sweet . . . Marilyn Zack with her red hair against a sea of blue silk . ..
