Israel Bond Sponsor Society
to Have Art Tour, Luncheon

The Detroit Israel Bond
Women's Division will hold
a Sponsor Society art tour
and luncheon Sept. 19, it
was announced by Doreen
Hermelin, division chair-
man.
The day's program will
begin at 9:30 a.m. at the
Birmingham home of Mrs:
Hermelin, where tour buses
will provide transportation
to view private art collec-
tions in the homes of Lila

The Klaus Synagogue in Prague, Czechoslovakia
has been re-opened to tourists. The 16th Century
synagogue adjoins Prague's Jewish cemetery, which
has nearly 16,000 tombstones.

A 49-year-old man from
the USSR is looking for his
aunt and her children who
last sent him a letter from
Detroit in 1933, according
to information received by
the Jewish Community
Council of Metroplitan De-
troit.
Eva and Zelig Barsuc had
a daughter Ann and a son
whose name is unknown.
They were in the shoe busi-
ness and may have moved to
Canada.
Also being sought are Leo
and Alex Altman who lived
in Detroit and made blan-
kets and quilts. One of the
brothers had a daughter
who married Gerald Alden.
They had a son David. The
families may have moved to
California.
Anyone with the knowl-
edge of either two families
should contact the Jewish
Community Council office
at 962-1880.

Due to an error in transmis-
sion from Washington, a story
in the Aug 29 Jewish Tele-
graphic Agency Bulletin said
the American Jewish Commit-
tee endorsed the Aug. 27 March
on Washington. The AJCom-
mittee did not endorse or par-
