The 200-page spiral- bound cookbook contains recipes, cooking hints and more. For a copy, call the NCJW, 557-9604. There is a charge. Mushroom Caviar 1 medium onion, minced 2 tbsps. butter 1 /2 pound fresh mushrooms, finely chopped 2 tbsps. lemon juice 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 to 2 tbsps. mayonnaise 1/2 tsp. salt 6 to 8 turns freshly ground pepper Saute onion in butter until golden, add mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes, stirring r lightly to mix well. Add lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce, mix well and remove from stove. Add enough mayonnaise to blend, salt, and pepper, and then mound in a serving dish or store covered in refrigerator. Chill well and serve surrounded by Melba toast or any bland cracker. Yield: 13/4 cups. * * * Barley Casserole 1 cup barley 1/2 cup slivered almonds 6 tbsps. pareve margarine, di- vided 1 medium onion, chopped 1 /2 cup minced parsley 1 /4 cup chopped chives or green onion 1 /4 tsp. salt 1 /4 tsp. pepper 2 (14-ounce) cans beef or chicken broth Rinse barley in cold water and drain. Toast almonds in 2 tbsps. melted margarine. Re- move nuts, add remaining margarine, onion and barley. Cook until toasted, about 5 minutes.
