CRESCENT SHRINE
CLUB is only the seventh
recipient of award by Chil-
dren's Leukemia Founda-
tion of Michigan . . . Plaque
was recently presented to
Crescent Circus chairman
Sonny Goldstein on behalf
of the group at 31st annual
dinner . . . by Executive's
Club of CLF.
The award is given only to
select individuals or organ-
izations who have provided
service of an outstanding
nature to Children's
Leukemia Foundation and
the people supported
through its programs.
Crescent has been taking
CLF children to the Shrine
Circus for almost 20 years
. . . Norm Silets, who be-
came too sick to serve as
chairman and later passed
on, is certainly not forgot-
ten.

IN 1973, a group of
families, interested in
camping and Jewish fellow-
ship, formed the Mazel
Camping Club . . . People
who had trailers, motor
homes, pop-ups (tent trail-
ers) and tents joined.
Some had families with
young children and enjoyed
the advantages of having
planned and unplanned ac-
tivities at a campground
with very little cost .. .
Many grandparents like
bringing their grandchil-
dren . . . It meets the third
weekend of month through
October.
During the winter, there
are social activities like a
banquet dinner, square
dancing, cocktail parties
and bowling parties . . . For
