hold a special kidush braha
after Sabbath services on
Sept. 3 to honor Sexton
Shalom Ralph, who is celeb-
rating his 35th anniversary
with the synagogue.
As sexton, Ralph or-
ganizes and leads daily and
Sabbath services, caring for
the synagogue's, prayer-
books, taleisim and other
ritual articles, attends fun-
erals and weddings and
teaches congregants un-

Mikva Opened
to the Public

The Bais Chabad Torah
Center Community Mikva
has been opened to the pub-
lic.
The mikva is available by
appointment in the evening
for women and during the
day for men. The mikva
may also be used for immer-
sion of new vessels during
the day.

Chaya Sora Silberberg
will be available to indi-
viduals and groups to dis-
cuss the use of the mikva

In addition to his other re-
sponsibilities, he has taught
Hebrew and tutored chil-
dren preparing for Bar and
Bat Mitzva, and is a cer-
tified mohel.
He is a member of Miz-
rachi, the Pisgah Lodge
of Bnai Brith, the Magen
David Adorn, Friends of
Shaarey Zedek Hospital
and Friends of Bicur
Cholim Hospital, both in
Jerusalem.

Ralph was honored by the
state of Israel with its Lion
of Judah Peace Award in
1981.
