CINCINNATI (JTA) — A
fifth-year Reform rabbinic
student, Steven Silver, has
been named to a newly es-
tablished rabbinic intern-
ship at the Jewish Federa-
tion of Cincinnati, accord-
ing to Philip Cohen, Federa-
tion president.
"The internship is based
on the idea that rabbis may
pursue a career path into
Jewish communal service
agencies as evidenced by
the fact that several rabbis
head federations today,"
said Marden Paru, federa-
tion executive vice
president. Silver is studying
at the Cincinnati school of
the Hebrew Union
College-Jewish Institute of
Religion.
