Panush Honor
The August issue of Sci-
ence Review, the journal of
the Metropolitan Detroit
,Science Teachers Associa-
tion (MDSTA), has an arti-
cle detailing the accom-
plishments of Louis
Panush, MDSTA's 1982
Distinguished Service
Award recipient.
Panush was a founding
member and officer of the
Metropolitan -Detroit Sci-
ence Club, the forerunner of
MDSTA, and served as first
permanent editor and busi-
ness manager of Science
Review.
Panush, former principal
of Western High School in
Detroit, was the first reci-
pient of the MDSTA Distin-
guished Service Award, in
1967, won the national
award in 1968, and won the
local chapter's award for an
unprecedented second time
last year.
