IF YOU DON'T SEE
what you want among the
almost 10,000 items at
Gaynor's Health & Beauty.
Aids discount operation in
Orchard Plaza, Orchard
Lake Rd. north of 14 Mile;
chances are pretty good it'll
be gotten for you . . .
Gaynor's is the only store I
know- of that has customer
request pads . . . and any-
thing is ordered . . . As soon
as item is gotten, person is
called and then it's usually
stocked . . . Some of the most
difficult requests have been
fulfilled.
So many, many items .. .
aisles upon aisles . . . even
snack foods, pet supplies,
greeting cards, stationery,
etc. . . . and complete baby
dept. with 25 percent off all
the time . . . It's nothing for
people to buy diapers and
toilet tissue by the case .. .
There's a licensed cos-
metologist for the untold
amount of brand name
cosmetics and fragrances
. .. something no other such
store has.
Gaynor's is owned by
Harold Gaynor and son
Larry Gaynor . . . opened
February 1983 . . . serving
well over 1,000 people a day.
They have another
store, Cadillac Ace
Hardware, on Davison
and Linwood for 18 years
. . . also selling health and
beauty aids ... Dad
Harold and three mana-
gers run Cadillac ... Son
Larry operates the very
successful Gaynor's, a
much larger venture.
Ever hear of a place
where merchandise can be
brought back for something
else . . . even after it's been
used? . . . That's how it is at
Gaynor's . . . which also
puts out a free health bulle-
tin every three months.

CHARLIE ROBINSON
. . . and his station with
service . . . on Nine Mile and
Greenfield . . . has another
plaque to hand . . . as
member of the Million Gal-
lon Club of Shell Oil Co. . . .
Charlie and crew sold well
over the mark in 1982 .. .
and says he'll top it in 1983.

GET WELL WISHES
... to Jim Brunetti of Min-
nie's Seafood . . . at
Beaumont Hospital.
AS USUAL, the gals of
Infants Service Group con-
tinue their very 'fine com-
munal work . . . 52 needy
children were outfitted by
them with new clothing and
new shoes . . . to attend
Camp Tamarack.

MICHIGAN PANTH-
ERS football squad isn't the
only one bearing the feroci-

ous cat title with a cham-
pionship . . . The Panthers
Little League baseball team
is winner of Southfield
Minor C Baseball League -
coached by Mike Salzens-
tein and managed by Mitch
Mallin.

CONGRATS ... to
Harry Dubbs . . . on his
birthday.
CENTRAL HIGH class
of 1941 holds its reunion
Sept. 24 . . . Grads in-
terested in helping ov
attending should call Ted
Rudner or Al Shevin .. .
922-0027 . . . Monday
through Friday til 5 p.m.
to
CONGRATS
Coryn Saltsman . . . on her
ninth birthday.
GET WELL WISHES
... to Billy Jacobs of Bud-
dy's Pizza . . . recuperating
at home.
IZZY MALIN is taking
on a big task . . . and needs
help . . . for proposed 50-
year reunion of 1934 (and
over or less) grads from
Northern and Central
Highs . . . Call Iz at 864-
2506 . . . This could be the
biggest of them all.
EARLE
AND
ELAINE Mostyn, New
York Life Insurance agents
here, were the featured
speakers at recent National
Association of Health
Underwriters convention in
Minneapolis.
FOUR YEARS AGO,
Larry Harris celebrated his
40th birthday with a unique
and memorable occasion .. .
This year, Larry turned the
tables around and did what
his wife thought no one
could do . . . totally surpris-
ing her . . . Many of the
same friends attended
Dodie's 40th with a big
splash . . . with Larry rent-
ing a 47-foot houseboat on
Lake St. Clair for the day
. . . 38 friends awaited the
arrival of Dodie and Larry
aboard this large floating
home.
BEST BET of the
Weekend . . . Picnic by
Knights of Pythias Detroit
Lodge 55 . . . this Sunday
. . . at Southfield Civic Cen-
ter on Evergreen and 10 1/2
Mile . . . free to members,
family and friends.
HAND-CRAFTED
CLOTHING ... sounds
unique . . . and is . . . with
expansion of collection by
Ilona & Gallery at Hunters
Square, Orchard Lake Rd.
and 14 Mile . . . suits, dres-
ses, sweaters, blouses, etc.
. . . This goes with the
hand-painted clothing and
hand-crafted jewelry.
ANNETTE FINKELS-
TEIN was top pledge per-
former in recent American
Cancer Society Bowlathon
at Ark Lanes West on
Northwestern Hwy.
SHOPPING CAN BE
quite an interesting experi-
ence when merchandise be-
comes a discovery also .. .
Like at Oak Farms Fruit
Market on Coolidge north of

Nine Mile in Oak Park .. .
Been looking all over for red
grapes without seeds . . . but
never thought I'd find some
that were so firm and
sweet-tasting, almost like
they'd been crossed with
cherries.
