Sanders Ice Cream 9 Toppings Now Kosher

The Fred Sanders Co. of
Detroit has announced that,
after several weeks of prep-
arations, its ice creams and
toppings have been certified
kosher by the Metropolitan
Kashruth Council of Michi-
gan.
Rabbi Jack Goldman,
rabbinic administrator of
the council, stated that this
was a landmark decision for
the Sanders Co., which ' is
now celebrating its 108th
anniversary. "This is espe-
cially significant for the
Jewish community, as
well," said Rabbi Goldman,
"because Sanders products
have very wide distribution
throughout the metropoli-
tan Detroit area and the
state of Michigan.
