been announced by fund-
raising chairman Paul
Borman. Reva Stocker was
named associate chairman.
The Tree of Life campaign
is part of a $5 million drive
for the Jewish Home for
Aged's Fleischman Resi-
dence and Blumberg Plaza
in West Bloomfield. Donors
of $5,000 will be recognized
with a leaf on the tree
sculpture, which will be lo-
cated on the exterior wall of
the Blumberg Plaza
synagogue. The plaza is the
social and service center for
the new complex, linking
Fleischman Residence and
the Hechtman Federation
Apartments.
Created by interior de-
signer Ruth Schnee, the
Tree of Life consists of oak
panels with bronze plaques
that form the leaves. The
donor's name and that of the
person being honored or
memorialized will be per-
manently inscribed on the
plaques. Although it is in-
cluded in the building's cap-
ital drive, the ongoing fund
will help maintain and
enhance the building and
its programs and services.
Gifts are payable over five
years.
In chairing the Tree of
Life campaign, Mrs.
Rosenfeld brings to it
many years of dedication
to the community. A
board member of the
home, she is a vice
president of the Jewish
Welfare Federation and
past president of Federa-
tion's Women's Division.
She also is a board
member of United Jewish
Charities and the Jewish
Community Council.
