Judge Benjamin Burdick's Civic-Jewish
Achievements Noted on His 80th Birthday
More than half-a-century
of civic and Jewish identifi-
cations, with emphasis on
the university, synagogue
and Zionism, won acclaim
this week for Judge Benja-
min Burdick, on the occa-
sion of his 80th birthday.
The score of his activities
could be summarized with
this identification: Wayne
State University, Cong.
Shaarey Zedek and the
Zionist movement. Under
each category is the devo-
tion which marked his
many services in an enrich-
ing lifetime, and it was
symbolized this week at the
university.
The family of Judge Bur-
dick has established a new
fund at Wayne State Uni-
versity Law School in honor
of his birthday.. The fund, to
be known as the Judge Ben-
jamin D. Burdick Moot
Court Fund, will be used to
