Rep. William S. Broom-
field (R-19th District) in-
serted a letter into the Con-
gressional Record last
Thursday pointing to alle-
gations of persecution by
the Sandinista government
against the tiny Nicara-
guan Jewish community.
Broomfield stated in the
Record that while he was
shocked at the actions of the
Sandinistas, he was not
surprised that "the blatant
anti-Semitism of the Soviet
Union and the Cuban gov-
ernment has been exported
to its friends across the sea
in Central America."

"Rabenu" (our teacher) and
"Adon ha-Nebiim" (master
of the prophets).
