Dr. Hollander to Direct
Hechtman Federation Apts.
Dr. Martin Hollander has
been appointed adminis-
trator of the new Lillian and
Samuel Hechtman Federa-
tion Apartments under con-
struction in West Bloom-
field, Sheldon P. Winkel-
man, president of the
Jewish Federation Apart-
ments, announced this
week.
Dr. Hollander holds a
master's degree in guidance
and counseling and a doc-
toral degree in administra-
tion of adult and higher
education. He has recently
retired from the Oak Park
School System in which he
held various positions since
1956, the last as principal of
Roosevelt Middle School.
Dr. Hollander was given the
"Citizen of the Year" Award
by Oak Park area PTA
Founders Day Council in
1982.
Rosemarie
Fiedler,
former director of social
services at Sinai Hospital
for the past 22 years, will
conduct interviews of appli-
cants for the new facility.
Hechtman Federation
Apartments is a 103-unit
apartment building con-
structed and managed
under the direction of the
U.S. Dept. of Housing and
Urban Development for
persons age 62 and older
who are able to live inde-
pendently. All units are
one bedroom and have a
living room, kitchen and
bath. This facility will
operate as the Oak Park
buildings on 10 Mile
Road, with dinners being
served five nights per
week.

1/2 cup chopped carrots
dash garlic salt
2 tablespoons butter or margarine 1 tablespoon chopped fresh
1/2 package (10 oz.) frozen whole
parsley
green beans. cooked and drained 1/2 cup water
1. Saute onions and carrots in butter in medium-sized
saucepan.
2. Add remaining ingredients; cover and simmer for
