Libman has been appointed executive vice president of the American operation of Bar-Ilan Uni- versity. Rabbi Libman, former assistant executive vice chairman of. the United Jewish Appeal, will direct all activities in the U.S., in- cluding field offices in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and Miami as well as the U.S. headquarters in New York. Steve King and the Dit- tilies will kick off Oak Park's "Funfest '83" activi- ties with a free concert to- night in Shepherd Park. The band will feature rock music from the 1950s and 1960s beginning at 7:30 p.m. In case of rain the con- cert will be held in the Oak Park High School au- ditorium. The 10th annual "Funfest Run" will take place on Monday. The three-mile course runs through Shepherd Park and trophies will be awarded to the top finishers in each category. The Eric Rosenow Con- tinental Orchestra will perform a free concert in the Park on Tuesday. Spectators may bring their own lawn chairs and the concert site will be switched to the Park High School au- ditorium in case of incle- ment weather.
