The research findings, on the relative roles of heredity and environment in deter- mining intelligence and personality traits of adopted children were reported in the inaugural lecture by Prof. Lee Willerman, visit- ing professor from the Uni- versity of Texas in Austin. The late Amram Schein- feld is 'widely known for his popular books on heredity, including "You and Hered- ity" and "Twins and Super Twins." His brother and Aaron was president of Manpower Inc. The first incumbent of the Scheinfeld Chair, Prof. Willerman, is director of clinical:psychology training at the University of Texas. An expert on the study of twins, he is author and co- author of many scientific articles and three books, notably "The Psychology of Individual and Group Dif- ferences" (1979).
