Louise Weiss,
French Feminist
NEW YORK — Louise
Weiss, a French feminist
and the oldest member of
the European Parliament,
died May 26 at age 90.
An alumna of Oxford and
the Sorbonne, Mrs. Weiss
was an-author and jour-
nalist. Among her works is
a six-volume autobiog-
raphy.
She received several
awards, among them the
French Legion of Honor, the
Europa Prize and the
French Academy's litera-
ture prize.
The granddaughter of a
French Jewish scientist,
Mrs. Weiss was raised a
Protestant, but displayed
an interest in the world's
Jewish populations and was
a student of Jewish life, the
New York Times reported.

photographer, died May 29
at age 62.
A native Detroiter, Mrs.
Robinson worked for Cradle
Pictures, taking pictures of
newborns at Sinai Hospital
for the past 11 years. She
was a member of Sinai Hos-

member of Jewish War Vet-
erans Auxiliary.
She leaves her husband,
