Medical Society
Director Named

Former Detroiter Dr. Jay
Masserman has been
elected president of the
Maimonides Society of
Orange County, Calif.

Dr. Masserman earned a
bachelor's degree at Wayne
State University, where he
was elected to Phi Beta
Kappa honorary and earned
a degree in Jewish educa-
tion at the Midrasha Col-
lege of Jewish Studies.

He did an externship in
the department of internal
medicine at Hadassah Hos-
pital in Jerusalem during
his senior year at the Uni-
xersity of Michigan Medical
School.
