of providing even for its own

danger. but runs away. Yet

we are more exposed to

The Best of Everything
DINNER THEATRE AT
(Continued from Page 31)
and exciting way of life for
the past five years.
Quite an. evening . . .
only one disappointing
feature ... the food
served by Michigan Inn
. . . unappealing and
tasteless ... Quite a fan-
tastic affair when only
one fault could be found
.. :Even the tornado that
ripped Seymour's factory
offices in California ...
and had many of his reu-
nion records strewn all
over ... dried in moc-
rowave ovens, etc.,
couldn't stop this man
from his goal . . . the
biggest of them all.
Little wonder that
Seymour and Ruthe Fab-
rick were given a standing
ovation by the entire throng
. . . What he had done can be
described in only one word
. . . remarkable.
Even to the last day,
people wanted to attend .. .
Where? . . . The only room
would have been on the
- bandstand next to drummer
Mel Fudge.
There were, of course,
those who couldn't attend
the 50 Year Reunion of
Northern High School
Classes of 1928-1935 (Plus
or Minus) . . . but many of
them probably attended an-
other at the same time . . . in
Heaven . . . Seymour Fab-
rick had nothing to do with
that one . . . unless he has a
private pipeline . . . Any-
thing is possible with this
man!
GEORGE YOUNG has
himself another biggie TV
commercial . . . jumping up
and down on a mattress .. .
for R.J. Leeds Furniture,
owned by Lennie Singer .
George was recent Emmy
winner for best local com-
mercial of the year . . . as an
Elias Bros. Big Boy bald
caveman.
THIRD ANNUAL Great
Soup Kettle Race and Festi-
val by Chefs 200
Club and Southeastern
Michigan Chapter March of
Dimes . . . has been set for
July 17 . . . this time on the
track of Southfield High,
Lahser and 10 Mile.
Festival part has been
added this year . . . First two
were held at Wayne State
University.
There are foot races (Lou
Popper's men from Empire

THEY WERE amoug
last summer's most talked
about parties . . . and
they're coming back in 1983
. . . The Second Annual
"Summer Nights" Parties
at Troy Hilton's outdoor
courtyard, Stephenson
Hwy. . . . They'll again fea-
ture those sensational live
sounds of Hugh Borde's
world famous Trinidad
Tripoli Steel Band . . .
which opens June 3 and con-
tinues all summer every
Friday through Sept. 2 .. .
The parties kick off at 6 p.m.
and guests will also partake
of poolside cocktails, danc-
ing, limbo contests and
charcoal-grilled snacks.
Since opening night will
be a pre-Grand Prix cele-
bration, all guests will be
admitted free (admission is
usually $5) . . . Trinidad
Tripoli Steel Band under
Borde's direction plays
steel drums and performs
songs with calypso, reggae,
jazz and pop beats.
WORD IS THAT a
Chinese restaurant is
scheduled to soon occupy
spot vacated by Hickory's on
Northwestern and 12 Mile.
Few Support
Re-Built Temple
TEL AVIV (JNI) — Some
18.3 percent of the Israeli
public supports the re-
establishment of the holy
Temple immediately, al-
though the majority still re-
jects reconstruction of the
third temple on the Temple
Mount in Jerusalem, ac-
cording to the results of a
public opinion survey
printed in Haaretz.
The issue has been
brought to the fore by re-
cently intensified Jewish ef-
fort to pray on the Temple
Mount in the face of Moslem
sensitivity and some Jewish
halakhic restrictions.
The religious community
is divided into Cohens, Le-
vites and Israelites. The
Cohens and Levites, de-
scended from the priests,
are entitled to special hon-
ors and the Cohens bestow
the priestly blessing upon
the congregation.
