Roth was elected president of the Jewish His- torical Society of Michigan at its 24th annual meeting Sunday at Cong. Beth Shalom. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Ms. Roth came to the Detroit area in 1969. She earned a BA degree at Oak- land University, and an MA degree at the-University of Michigan, where she is cur-. rently a doctoral candidate. In 1981 she co-authored a volume on the 120-year his- tory of Cong. Shaarey Zedek (published by Wayne State University Press). Prior to her election, she served on the JHSM board of direc- tors.
