sentatives of nine Jewish
communities in Europe par-
ticipated in a leadership
conference in the United
States, earlier this month,
under the sponsorship of the
Anti-Defamation League of
Bnai Brith (ADL) and the
World Zionist Organization
(WZO).
The group included
representatives from
Amsterdam, Antwerp,
Brussels, Dusseldorf, Glas-
gow, The Hague, London,
Paris and Stockholm.

Overseas Needs Discussed
At a special meeting of the Jewish Welfare Feder-
ation's Executive Committee, representatives of the
United Jewish Appeal discussed overseas needs rela-
tive to Federation's 1983-1984 allocation of Allied
Jewish Campaign funds. Among the participants

four U.S. service academies,
according to the JWB.
The 30 newly commis-
sioned Jewish officers in-
clude 12 at the U.S. Air
Force Academy in Colorado
Springs, Colo.; eight at the
U.S. Military Academy,
West Point, N.Y.; five at the
U.S. Naval Academy at An-
napolis, Md.; and five at the
U.S. Merchant Marine
Academy, Kings Point,
N.Y.
