The younger Dr. Fried- laender, a former Detroiter of New Haven, Conn., last year won one of the nation's highest awards for medical research, the Kappa Delta Award, for his research into "Apropos Bone Allografts." He was educated at Ke- nyon College, the Univer- sity of Michigan and pur- sued an internship and re- sidency at the U-M Medical Center and a residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Friedlaender was awarded several re- search fellowships, won numerous honors and was appointed to many honorary societies. He holds membership in many professional societies and associa- tions. STOREWIDE SALE Windsor Jewish Leader to Be Cited at Communal Dinner The Jewish community of Windsor will pay tribute to Joseph Eisenberg, the executive director of the Jewish Community Coun- cil, at a Negev Testimonial Dinner June 22 at Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue, under the auspices of the Jewish National Fund. Eisenberg has been active in tasks for the United Way of Windsor-Essex County, as a founder of the Windsor Mental Health Council, teacher of sociology at the University of Windsor, lec- turer in group work and community organization, and as a participant in the work of the United Israel Appeal, Council of Jewish Federations, Canadian Jewish Congress and Canada-Israel Committee. The Dinner Chairman will be William Silver, president of the Jewish Community Council of Windsor.
