Child Rescue Women's Dinner Celebrates 35th Anniversary
Northwest Child Rescue
Women will celebrate their
35th anniversary at their
annual dinner-dance to be
held at Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue on June 8.

women banded together to
run a "Night of Games" for
the rescue of Israeli chil-

In 1952, Northwest
Child Rescue Women, in
cooperation with the De-
troit Department of
Parks and Recreation,
undertook the financial
responsibility of sending
200 mentally retarded
children to summer camp
at Brighton.
By 1962 the project was
being studied and employed
by the Kennedy Foundation
and the National Associa-
tion of Retarded Children.
