The judges said that al- though all five defendants were convicted of the same crime, two of the Arabs re- ceived shorter terms be- cause they were only 17. He has been a profes- sor of music at Wayne State University for 46 years, has lectured for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, has written numerous articles about Hebrew music and has won many honors in- cluding the WSU President's Award at the university in 1977.
