May 11 Meeting
for UJA Mission
A recruitment meeting
for the fourth annual
United Jewish Appeal Sing-
les Mission, July 17-27, will
be held 7:30 p.m. May 11 at
the United Hebrew Schools.
Detroiters aged 25-40 will
join other young adults from
around the nation in a
10-day mission, sponsored
by the United Jewish Ap-
peal and coordinated locally
by the Junior Division of the
Jewish Welfare Federation.
The mission will offer more
than 400 young American
Jews the opportunity for in-
tensive travel and study in
Israel.
The mission will fea-
ture glimpses of both old
and new Israel as the
group tours Jerusalem,
Tel Aviv and other cen-
ters of Israeli life. They
will meet with _govern-
ment and Jewish Agency
officials, educators, so-
cial workers and others
involved in building Is-
rael's society. In addi-
tion, the mission partici-
pants will have a chance
to meet Israelis at leisure
as they join in a wide
variety of social events.
