At 10 a.m., the first place team of Division I will play the second place team of Division II and the second place team of Division I will play the first place team of Division II. Currently, Rose AZA leads Division I with a 5-2 record with Herzl AZA in second place at 5-3. Wal- lenberg AZA leads Division II with a 7-1 record and Goode AZA follows with a 6-1 record. The cham- pionship game will follow at 11 a.m. The BBG Volleyball League will also have its playoffs and championship on Sunday at Oakland Community College. At 9 a.m., the first place team plays the fourth place team, At 10 a.m. the second place team will play the third place team, and at 11 a.m., the two winners will play for the championship. Cur- rent standings show Machar BBG in first place at 15-3, Brice BBG in second at 9-6, Shira BBG in third at 9-9, and Shoshanna/ Shemesh BBGs in fourth at 10-11. Glazer BBG will hold its annual Mr. AZA Ice Cream Social 7 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Middle School. The highlight of the eve- ning will be the selection of "Mr. AZA" for the current program year. Talit and Tefilin will * * * Youth to Receive Awards at Women's League Program The League of Jewish Women's Organizations of Greater Detroit will have its 38th annual youth awards program 1:30 p.m. April 24 at Temple Emanu-El, announces Charlotte Edelheit, youth awards chairman. Since 1945, the league has presented awards an- nually to Jewish youth for outstanding scholastic and religious achievement and for civic participation. Guest speaker will be Rabbi Lane Steinger of Temple Eman-El. Sister- hood President Shonnette Weisman will give the in- vocation. Jewish high school seniors who will be hon- ored at the program in- clude: Elizabeth Alpern, Jonathan Berlin, Amy Bigman, Felissa Burns, Jeffrey Chajes, Lori Goldberg, Avery Golds- tein, Susan Grekin, Rodney Klein, Elliot Maness, Lesley Miller, Eric Rosenberg, Eva Tugman, Julie Weil, Karen Zeff and Allison Zousmer. The eight-week program provides students with room and board and a 20 hour-a-week ulpan (inten- sive Hebrew -language course) in Maalot,- a de- velopment town in the Galili, in exchanger for work in the town. Students are expected to pay for their own air-fare, but will be provided with housing and a possible food stipend. Linen and cooking facilities, both kosher and non-kosher will also be pro- vided. The program will be high- lighted by a three day aliya seminar in Jerusalem, tours and trips and personal career counseling. Jobs are available in the teen and so- cial clubs and possibly at the Nahariya Hospital. Teaching English and working with the elderly are also work options.
