Bnai Moshe will hold its
spring concert April 28 at 8
p.m. in the synagogue. Par-
ticipating will be Cantor
Erno Grosz of Queens, N.Y.;
Cantor Elliot Portner of
Cleveland; and Bnai
Moshe's Cantor Louis
Klein. They will be joined
by flutist Miriam Ciesla and
cellist Miriam Bolkosky,
with Dooreen Raskin and
Bernard Katz at the piano.
Admission is free. Tickets
are available at the Bnai
Moshe office.
Born in Hungary, Cantor
Grosz comes from a long line
of rabbis and teachers. He
attended cantorial school in
Budapest, as well as the
Music Conservatory of
Budapest.
Cantor Grosz came to
the United States in 1957
and attended the Can-
tor's Institute-Seminary
College of Jewish Music
at the Jewish Theological
Seminary of America. In
1963, he took up his cur-
rent position at the For-
est Hills Jewish Center in
Queens.

Aids Yeshiva

Rabbi Reuven Feinstein,
rosh hayeshiva of the
Yeshiva of Staten Island,
will address a breakfast on
behalf of the Mesivta
Tifereth Jerusalem at 9
a.m. April 24 at Young Is-
rael of Oak-Woods.
Rabbi Feinstein is the son
of the rosh yeshiva of
Mesivta Tifereth
Jerusalem, Rabbi Moshe
Feinstein.

Women's Torah
Seminar Slated

The Women's Torah
Seminar, conducted by
Rabbi Feivel Wagner, will
meet 8 p.m. Monday at
Young Israel of Greenfield.
Rabbi Wagner will dis-
cuss "S'frias Haomer —
Counting of the Omer."

for more than 25 years.
Ms. Ciesla, a member of
Cong. Bnai Moshe, is an
announcer at WQRS.
Miss Bolkosky, 12, has
been playing the cello since
the age of 4 (starting on a
viola, which she played as a
cello). In 1977, she was one
of 15 cellists selected for the
International Suzuki Asso-
ciation Tour, which in-
cluded concerts at the Ken-
nedy Center in Washington
and at Carnegie Hall . She is
the youngest member of the
Livonia Youth Symphony
Society senior orchestra.
The concert is coordi-
nated by the Bnai Moshe
Cultural Commission,
chaired by Larry Rockind
and Ronna Rosenbaum.

Mike Miller, host of

WXYZ radio, will speak on
"Israel and the Media: Has
David Become a Goliath?"
at 11 a.m. Sunday at Cong.

tures "Eyes on Israel." The

Cantor Portner began his
career in Philadelphia,
after graduating from Tem-
ple University and the Can-
tor's Institute-Seminary
College of Jewish Music.
Since 1973, he has been can-
tor of the Park Synagogue
in Cleveland. He has re-
ceived numerous awards.
Born in Romania, Cantor
Klein attended various
yeshivot in Europe and
studied music at the Con-
servatorium in Ostend,
Belgium, and the Guildhall
School of Music in London.
He received an Honorary
Fellowship Award from the
Cantor's Institute. Cantor
Klein is active in the Can-
tors Assembly of America,
of which he , is a past trea-
surer.
He has been chairman of
the Tri-State Region Can-
tor's Assembly and of the
