is professor of history at
George Washington Uni-
versity. He is also a lec-
turer on Middle Eastern af-
fairs for numerous govern-
ment bodies, and has been a
guest professor at Tel Aviv
University.
Dr. Sachar received an
undergraduate degree from
Swarthmore and graduate
degrees from Harvard Uni-
versity. He has taught ex-
tensively in the fields of
modern Jewish and Middle
Eastern History, and is the
author of eight books.
