Couple Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
(Irene) Kepes were honored
at a party at Beth Torah
Synagogue in North Miami
Beach, Fla., recently on the
occasion of their 50th wed-
ding anniversary.
The party was given by

the couple's children, Mr.
and Mrs. Larry (Harriet)
Kepes of Southfield and Mr.
and Mrs. Ron (Bonnie)
Kepes of Hallandale, Fla.
The senior Kepeses have
five grandchildren.
Former Detroiters, the
senior Kepeses were mar-
ried by Rabbi Moses Fischer
in 1933. They were mem-
bers of Cong. Bnai Moshe
for 25 years and later be-
came members of Adat
Shalom Synagogue, of
which they were members
for 20 years.
Mr. Kepes' was a
member in Detroit of Per-

fection Lodge of the Ma-
sons, Moslem Temple and
Scottish Rite Bodies.
Following their move to
North Miami Beach, the
couple became affiliated
with Beth Torah Syna-
gogue. Mr. Kepes is a
member of its men's club
and Mrs. Kepes is a member
of the sisterhood.
Mrs. Kepes also is a life
member of Hadassah, a.life
member of City of Hope and
a member of Bnai Brith
Women.
