Hillel Day School Marks 25th Anniversary ripTsuacFnxutrigit
Hillel Day School will
celebrate its 25th anniver-
sary at its annual fund-
raising dinner May 1 at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
Cocktails will be served at 6
p.m., followed by dinner and
dancing to the music of the
Bill Meyers Group.
In advance of the dinner-
dance, pations will be hon-
ored at a reception at 8 p.m.
April 13 in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Irving Nusbaum,
26575 Willowgreen,
Franklin. The Shaul Ben-
Meir Trio will provide the
musical entertainment.

Winkelmans Added to List
of JNF-Detroit Honorees
When the Jewish Na-
tional Fund honors Stanley
and Margaret Winkelman
with the Tree of Life Award
on June 22 at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek, the event
will mark the 20th anniver-
sary,of the first JNF-Detroit
sponsored testimonial. The
festivities, which include
dinner and the dedication of
a major project in Israel in
the honorees' names, began
in 1963 when the late Abe
Kasle was honored.
The Winkelmans will be
honored with the naming of
the JNF project in Israel for
them.
The Winkelman project is
the latest in the list of JNF
projects established by De-
troiters. Previous testimo-
nial honorees are: Bernard
Isaacs (1965), Leonard N.
Simons (1966), Louis Berry
(1967) Paul Zuckerman
(1968), Irwin I. Cohn (1969),

Leonard Moss

The Italian American
Cultural Society will honor
Dr. Leonard W. Moss,
Wayne State University
professor of anthropology,
at a dinner-dance at 4
p.m. April 17 at Zuccaro's
Country House in Mt. Cle-
mens.
A member of the Wayne
State faculty for more than
30 years, Prof. Moss is cur-
rently acting chairman of
the anthropology depart-
ment at WSU. He is a found-
ing member of the Italian
American Cultural Society
and is an adviser to the •
society's board of directors.

Population Up
The Michigan State Uni-
versity Museum will fea-
ture a Passover exhibit de-
signed by Caryn Alexander
of Birmingham, a sopho-
more majoring in history.
The exhibit is entitled,
"Celebrating Passover: A
Jewish Family at the Turn
of the Century," and depicts
a Passover table of a Jewish
family who emigrated from
Eastern Europe to Detroit
at the turn of the century.
