Detroiter Wins Fulbright Scholarship

tional Baccalaureate Pro-
gram, coordinator of stu-
dent teaching programs, as
well as consultant to var-
ious school districts in
America and Canada.
She has been published
in the nationally known
Roeper Journal and has
written curriculum pre-
sently integrated into the
coursework in South-
field. She is a graduate of
the University of Michi-
gan and has done
graduate work at Wayne
State University and the
University-of MiChigan.
Ms. Eisenberg is a life-
long member of Temple Is-
rael, serving as a member of
the caring community
committee, chairman of the
single parents committee
and a member of the future
planning committee.
She is a member of the
Zionist Organization of De-
troit, having served on the
board of directors in charge
of public relations. She is
the chairman of the advi-
sory board of governors of
Hamilton Place.

Johanna Eisenberg has
recently received a Ful-
bright Scholarship for a
six-week seminar in Israel.
The award is administered
by the U.S. Department of
Education and the Ful-
bright Committee.
The grant is given to
educators involved in creat-
ing curriculum in the sec-
ondary schools.

named the recipients of the
21st annual Probus Club
awards for academic
achievement.
They are: Dr. Mark S.
Goldman, associate profes-
sor of psychology; and Dr.
David L. Njus, associate
professor of biological sci-
ences.
The awards, granted an-
nually to WSU faculty in
the fields of the humanities
and natural sciences, in-
clude $1,000 without re-
strictions, and Probus Club
plaques of recognition. Pre-
sentations will be made at a
dinner to be held Thursday
at the Furniture Club.

WSU Professors Win Probus Awards

RAMAT GAN — More
than 200 senior citizens are
currently enrolled at Bar-
Ilan -University in an ex-
perimental program which
started five years ago with
the aid of New York's
Brookdale Fund.
The seniors, who now
constitute nearly 10 percent
of the total number of stu-
dents, attend regular lec-
tures and are expected to
fulfill the same academic
requirements as . their
younger counterparts. The
oldest student at the uni-
versity is 89.
