Broiled, Charbroiled or Sauteed III OM OS NO OW in In SIB SO fill Dismitrils It stated at the forum that many Jews perceive, rightly or wrongly, that anti- Jewish attitudes were fos- tered by what they regarded as biased media coverage of the war in Lebanon last summer, particularly on television. This resulted in the "demonization" of Is- rael, the portrayal of the Palestine Liberation Organization as an inno- cent victim and an attribu- tion of "collective guilt" which held all Jews respon- sible for the plight of the Palestinians, the experts said. 111111 In addition, anti-Israel hostility in many coun- tries spilled over onto the European Jewish com- I munity, creating tension I and, at times, a danger- I ous atmosphere for Jews. The experts stressed the need for discussions be- CI tween Israelis and the 0 1 Jewish communal lead- on the effects of U. , ership certain Israeli policies on European public opinion and on European Jewish N i communities. Meetings with media representatives were urged to discuss the nature of the war in Lebanon, its cover- JN age by the media and its consequences. The experts warned, however, that it was important not to lump all the media together be- cause of the excesses of some. While shocked by recent terrorist attacks on Jewish institutions in Europe, Jewish communities do not see these as signaling an upsurge of anti-Semitism in Europe but rather an at- tempt by Arab forces to bring the Middle East con- flict to the European scene to frighten Europeans away from support for Israel. The forum is chaired by Tullia Zevi, president of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities. • FRESH LAKE SMELT • FRESH SALMON STEAK • FRESH FILET OF PICKEREL • FRESH FILET OF WHITEFISH • FRESH FILET OF LAKE TROUT • FRESH WHOLE RAINBOW TROUT • FRESH FILET OF LEMON SOLE • FRESH FILET OF LAKE PERCH • FRESH FLORIDA GROUPER FRESH FILET OF SCROD • FRESH FLORIDA KINGFISH FRESH HALIBUT STEAK 1 1 1 example: • Prime rib of beef, 14.95; petite 7.95 • Hickory smoked spare ribe, 9.95; petite 5.95 • Frog legs, 12.95; petite 7.95 • Fresh lake perch, 11.95; petite 6.95 • Fresh whitefish, 10.25; petite 5.95 • Butterfly shrimp, 12.95; petite 1.95 • Kogy's special salad, 6.95; petite 4.25 Experts Study Anti-Jewish Actions in Western Europe I 1$1°°OFF ANY DINNER I $5 Or More featuring our exclusive petite portions By PHILLIP GOREN I clasp my hands my painful soul Towards you suffering victims of the Nazi era. The degrading visible numbers engraved with precision on your arms Like cattle being driven to the slaughter house. Treacherous days and physical and mental abuse, Constantly surrounded by guards with vicious looks Like demons in disguised human faces. In our sleep at night we dreamed of bread, In the morning we envied the dead. We were eliminated from all hiding places, Young and old were at fault. A curse and a wrath of humanity fell upon a people For what reason?
