The students at the
United Hebrew Schools' five
campuses are invited to par-
ticipate in an art contest
based upon the theme, "My
Israel Connection."
Acceptable categories in-
clude literary arts (essay,
poetry, fiction or non-
fiction) and visual arts
(sculpture, painting, draw-
ing, photography,
dioramas, ceramics or self-
designed and worked need-
lework).
All UHS students are
eligible. Prizes will be
awarded on all levels and in
all categories.
Judging will take place
May 15 at the main UHS
building. Judges will be
artists and teachers from
the community. The con-
test is the first of its kind
to be sponsored by the
UHS board's Cultural
Council Committee,
which also sponsors the
